Last Updated: June 6, 2025

Welcome to myRaceReel.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services, website, and video products provided by myRaceReel Ltd.

By accessing or using our services (including viewing or downloading a video), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

myRaceReel Ltd ("myRaceReel", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16070172. Our registered office is at 52 The Downs, Altrincham, England, WA14 2QJ. Our contact email is support@myracereel.com.

2. Our Services

We provide video capture and production services at sporting events ("Events") to create personalised videos ("Videos") for participants. These services are contracted by Event Organisers, sponsors, and charities (our "Clients").

We make no guarantee that a Video will be successfully captured for every participant. Technical failures, adverse weather conditions, obscured race bibs, or a participant not passing a camera location can affect our ability to provide the service.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in the raw footage captured at Events and in the final, edited Videos, including the copyright, are and will remain the exclusive property of myRaceReel Ltd.

4. Your Licence to Use the Video

When you access a Video, whether by purchase or through a sponsor-funded offer, myRaceReel Ltd grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the Video for personal, non-commercial

purposes only.

This licence allows you to:

  • Download a copy of the Video to your personal devices.
  • Share the Video on your personal social media accounts, blogs, and websites.

The right to download and use the Video is conditional upon you first meeting the specific terms of the offer for that Event (e.g., completing a purchase, or validly consenting to receive a communication from a sponsor).

5. Client & Sponsor Licence

Our Clients (Event Organisers, sponsors) are granted a specific licence to use the Videos for their own marketing and promotional purposes, as defined in their separate service agreement with us. A standard licence is for six (6) months on typical digital channels, unless otherwise agreed.

6. Our Right to Use Content

You agree that myRaceReel may use any Videos, or clips from any Videos, for its own business marketing and promotional purposes, such as on our website, in case studies, and in commercial presentations, without requiring further consent.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You are expressly forbidden from:

  • Using a Video for any direct or indirect commercial purpose.
  • Selling, reselling, or sub-licensing your Video.
  • Removing, obscuring, or altering any myRaceReel watermarks or any Client or sponsor branding embedded in the Video.
  • Editing, modifying, or creating derivative works from the Video in a manner that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or otherwise unlawful or damaging to the reputation of myRaceReel, our Clients, or other participants.
  • Using any automated or manual process to systematically access or download Videos in bulk.

Breach of these conditions will result in the immediate termination of your licence to use the Video.

8. Event Organiser Obligations

Our service relies on the cooperation of our Clients. Our Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing clear notice to all Event participants in their pre-race communications and event terms that myRaceReel will be filming the Event.
  • Providing us with accurate and timely participant data (e.g., race bib data) required to produce and deliver the Videos.
  • Engaging in a pre-event planning process and providing our team with the necessary site access and freedom of movement to perform our services effectively.
  • Providing access to all relevant race timing data and assisting in the resolution of technical issues.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, myRaceReel Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from (a) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the services; (b) any failure to capture a Video for any reason; or (c) any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your Video.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
